I focus on international relations, particularly the operational determinants of military strategy, peacekeeping effectiveness, and the role of foreign land ownership in national security. My work often employs spatial analysis and statistical modeling to explore these questions.

• Analyzing the proximity of Chinese-owned farms to U.S. military installations.
• Exploring the role of terrain in shaping military strategies from 1815 to the present.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of peacekeeping operations in reducing civilian violence through spatial methodologies.
